Thierry Henry is concerned about Arsenal's home form

Former Arsenal striker Henry believes that the Gunners need to improve their home form in order to mount a successful Premier League title challenge this season.

“Arsenal’s home form is a worry,” the Frenchman wrote in The Sun. “In their last six games, going back to the goalless draw against Chelsea last April, they have only scored in one match and that was a 4-1 win over West Brom on May 24.

“It is concerning. The one positive was to see that Petr Cech, who struggled against West Ham, played so well against Liverpool.

“Although my former club played better in the second half, everyone still wanted to see more urgency.

“Alexis Sanchez is not ready yet physically and that has a massive impact on how Arsenal perform. Overall, at home, they are not creating enough chances.”

Against West Ham Arsenal created 16 chances, while against Liverpool the Gunners crafted 15 chances.

Interestingly, against Palace Wenger’s side created 15 chances as well, and they won that game 2-1.

Perhaps it is Arsenal’s finishing that needs to improve.

Against the Hammers, the former Premier League champions took 22 shots of which just six were on target.

Of Arsenal’s 20 shots against Palace, only seven were on target, while against Liverpool at the Emirates just five of their 19 shots were on goal....
