Steven N'Zonzi's father reportedly claims Arsenal will soon make a move for the midfielder

Talk of Unai Emery returning to his former club for the Frenchman just doesn't seem to go away despite the Gunners strengthening in the middle of the park with the additions of Lucas Torreira and Matteo Guendouzi.

Having signed five players so far this summer, the Arsenal head coach stated prior to the club's pre-season trip to Singapore that his spending was done, although he revealed that there could potentially be another addition if a big opportunity arises.

While the Spanish side will want to keep hold of the French World Cup winner next season, Sevilla won't be able to stop him from leaving if a club activates the 29-year-old's €40million release clause.

However, France Football claimed on Monday that the Gunners would try and negotiate a lower fee with the La Liga club.

It's very unlikely that Sevilla will let their star man depart for less than his release clause, especially with director of football Joaquin Caparros recently stating that interested clubs need to pay €40m to sign him.

Whether or not Arsenal do try and sign N'Zonzi for a reduced fee, the latest news from Spain suggest that a move could be imminent.
