Roma 'want Petr Cech as possible Alisson Becker replacement'

Roma have reportedly identified Arsenal goalkeeper Petr Cech as a possible replacement for Alisson Becker.

The Serie A outfit are on the lookout for a new shot-stopper following Alisson's world-record move to Liverpool last week, while Cech's future at the Emirates Stadium seems uncertain.

New Arsenal boss Unai Emery has already signed Bernd Leno for £22m this summer, while recent reports have suggested that he is also looking to bring in Swiss international goalkeeper Yann Sommer to provide further competition for place.

The Mirror reports that Roma's sporting director Monchi is interested in taking Cech to the Stadio Olimpico, ending what has been a 14-year stay in the Premier League.

However, Cech has also been linked with a return to former club Chelsea, where he spent 11 years and made almost 500 appearances across all competitions.
