ARSENE WENGER has revealed that he will only look to sign world-class players for Arsenal this summer.

The Gunners boss has splashed the cash on a number of big names in recent years, including Real Madrid's Mesut Ozil and Barcelona's Alexis Sanchez.

Arsenal are looking to finish the season in second ahead of Manchester City, and speaking after his side's 3-1 win over Hull last night, Wenger admitted he will only consider bringing established names to the Emirates ahead of the new Premier League campaign.

The Frenchman told Sky Sports: "We have a big squad – the basis is there. We do not need to buy a number of players.

"If we can get top, world-class players we will look at it, but we have a very strong squad already in number and we want to stay together and start well next season.

"I feel that we have made progress. Chelsea is a worthy winner this year because they have been the most consistent team of all.

"Let's finish well, then prepare well for next season and give them a good fight."

The Unbeaten In Manchester Season

By Goonerholic
