Francis Coquelin and Mikel Arteta to be assessed on Sunday

Arsene Wenger has confirmed Francis Coquelin will undergo tests on Sunday to determine the extent of the knee injury he sustained in Arsenal's 2-1 loss to West Brom while the Frenchman also revealed Mikel Arteta suffered a muscular problem in the game.

The Gunners missed the chance to go top of the Premier League table on Saturday when James Morrison's goal and an own goal by Arteta cancelled out Olivier Giroud's first-half opener to condemn Arsenal to defeat at the Hawthorns as Santi Cazorla also missed a late penalty.

To add to his woes, Wenger was handed more concerns when Coquelin and Arteta were both forced off with injury during the game, which takes the number of Arsenal players currently missing to eight.

And the Gunners boss confirmed after the match that fans will now have to wait until Sunday to find out the severity of the issues but confirmed Arteta had sustained a calf injury.
