Arsenal News. Olivier Giroud has admitted that he was surprised by Arsene Wenger’s touchline reaction during Arsenal’s 2-0 defeat at the hands of Chelsea last October.

Arsenal News.ARSENE WENGER must end his dreadful record against Jose Mourinho if Arsenal are to win trophies, Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher has said.

The Frenchman has failed to beat Mourinho in 12 attempts but insists the record will have no psychological impact ahead of this Sunday’s showdown at the Emirates.

The Gunners trail Chelsea by 10 points in the league and if the Blues win, they can wrap up a first title since 2010 if they beat Leicester on Wednesday.

And Carragher says Arsenal must find a way to take points off Mourinho’s side if they are to challenge for the title in the future.

“Obviously Arsene Wenger is going to say it isn’t that big a thing, but I’m sure it’s in the back of his mind. You don’t want a record like that against anyone,”

“I’m sure it gives confidence to Chelsea and Mourinho that they can get one over on Arsenal, not just in this particular game but obviously in the future, because there are always teams you come up against where - no matter what you do or try - you always find it difficult to beat them.

"Arsene Wenger will know, if they want to compete and win trophies, Chelsea and Mourinho are going to be in the way so they have to start taking points off them.

"You could argue that it’s not mathematically out of Arsenal’s hands if they win but his game could, from Arsenal’s point of view if they won, give them more belief for next season than actually do damage to Chelsea this season.”

FRANCIS COQUELIN wants to be Arsenal’s answer to Nemanja Matic.

Chelsea enforcer Matic has been the unsung hero of Jose Mourinho’s runaway Premier League leaders.

And Coquelin admits he would love to follow in the Serbian’s footsteps ahead of Sunday’s London derby at the Emirates.

He said: “What he’s done is unbelievable. At Chelsea he is one of the main men so credit to him.

"He’s had a great season and is a great player. It’s always good to play against players like that.

"It’s an important position and Matic has shown how important he is - that’s what I’m trying to do as well for the gunners.

"The fans want a good defensive midfielder, they know it’s important for the team.”

Coquelin is the closest thing Arsenal have had to an enforcer for years.

But he knows he cannot afford even a moment’s loss of focus against the likes of Eden Hazard and Cesc Fabregas.

Coquelin said: “Hazard and Cesc Fabregas are great players who can do such great things at any time in the day.

"You need to be focused the whole time and that’s what I’m trying to do for the 90 minutes.

"We’ve played against big teams in the last few weeks.

"You need to be focused the whole time and that’s what I’m trying to do for the 90 minutes.

"Liverpool have Philippe Coutinho and now it’s going to be different opposition with Eden Hazard.

"He is probably one of the best players in the league, maybe even the best this season.

"It’s going to be a tough game but like in every big game you want to win.”

PER MERTESACKER has hailed Arsenal efforts in reaching a second consecutive FA Cup final as a fantastic achievement and claims it shows the club are progressing.

The Gunners were pushed all the way by Championship side Reading on Saturday but progressed to the final after Adam Federici’s error in extra-time.

Arsene Wenger’s side will face Aston Villa in the final on May 30 after the Midland club came from behind to beat Liverpool yesterday.

In addition to the cup final, Arsenal are looking to secure second place in the league although they were knocked out of the Champions League at the last-16 stage for the fifth consecutive season.

And Mertesacker is proud of the run the Gunners have gone on since that disappointing exit to Monaco.

“I am delighted that we are back at Wembley - that is a fantastic achievement for this group for the second consecutive time,” Mertesacker said.

“We are really proud.

"It was a really tough game and we knew before that they would fight for their lives and give absolutely everything to keep us away from their goal and they did it fantastically. We are just delighted that we made it again.

"It is a little progress [and] it would be a great honour, back to back FA Cup wins. We were knocked out of the Champions League and that was a big blow for us but after that we responded and it is a great achievement. Let’s continue our great run.

"We just wanted to win and do something fantastic for the team and the group. You can see everyone is absolutely happy and delighted.”

SANTI CAZORLA is backing Alexis Sanchez to beat the burn-out and bag a third double at Wembley.

Cazorla admits Arsenal are running on empty after Reading added to the rigours of a gruelling season by taking them to extra-time.

But Sanchez scored twice for the second time at Wembley - having grabbed a brace there for Chile against England - to send them into the FA Cup final.

And Cazorla would love to see him score his biggest double yet on May 30 as the gunners bid to defend their trophy.

He said: “Let’s hope he keeps that up and scores twice in the final.

"We are very happy for him. He is a key player for us in a good moment and hopefully he will carry on scoring.

"Of course we are all tired. So is he. He has the Copa America too at the end of the season but he just wants to play all of the time, as many games as you can give him.

"Now we have to rest and finish the season with the objectives we had at the start of the season.”

Sanchez has now scored 22 times this season and he ended up being the difference against Reading as the Gunners survived a major semi-final scare.

His opener was a thing of beauty as he controlled a cross from Mesut Ozil and paused to wrong-foot his marker before slotting home in the 39th minute.

But Championship strugglers Reading threatened an upset when Garath McCleary volleyed home a 54th-minute equaliser off Kieran Gibbs which Wojciech Szczesny flapped into his own net.

Adam Federici’s howler in extra time, when he allowed a tame shot from Sanchez to wriggle under his body, ultimately settled it.

But even then Arsenal had some nervous moments as the Royals showed plenty of guts and determination for boss Steve Clarke.

Cazorla said: “We knew it would be difficult, even if Reading are a division below. They are well organized, they defend very strong, and in the second half they found a little bit more space to play because our organisation was not quite as good.

ARSENE WENGER insists Arsenal can make it back-to-back FA Cup trophies this season.

The Gunners narrowly beat Reading at Wembley to book their second successive cup final.

The Royals made Arsenal work for it though, taking their Premier League opponents to extra time.

Reading goalkeeper Adam Federici’s woeful mistake settled the tie as Alexis Sanchez’s double was just enough to see off Reading.

Wenger said: “When you are in the final you can win it. We will prepare well, finish well in the league and then come back here and do all we can to win it.

"We all want a trophy. It is difficult to deliver but all you want is the attitude.”

“A tough game yes. They defended well and we didn’t find our stride.

"It is a semi-final and it does not go easy. A team like that, the occasion of their life, and they will not give up.

Arsene Wenger says Wojciech Szczesny is still a great goalkeeper and has backed the Pole to prove his class in Saturday’s FA Cup semi-final against Reading at Wembley.

Szczesny has not played since the FA Cup quarter-final win at Manchester United after losing his place to David Ospina following some poor performances and negative off-field headlines.

But Wenger believes the Polish goalkeeper is good enough to return between the posts against Reading on Saturday.

“I believe that before a game you prepare mentally and there is no special problem,” said Wenger.

“I replaced Wojciech because he had a bad game. I still think he is a great goalkeeper and I want him as well to have the opportunity to show that.

"On Wednesday night, I watched PSG against Barcelona and they (Barcelona) played their goalkeeper number two (Marc-Andre ter Stegen) in the Champions League game. Why? Because you need to give them as well competition.”

Wenger continued: “They know the rules. It is based on merit.

"If you have a disastrous game you don’t play in the next one, but as well the first priority is the quality of the competition.

"You are right (Ospina has done nothing wrong), but if Wojciech remained number one, Ospina would play on Saturday.

"Once you have the rule, based on the fact Wojciech had a good game against Manchester United and there is no special reason to drop him (now) for Saturday.”

Asked if Szczesny had a long-term future at Arsenal, Wenger replied: “I hope yes, but at the moment it is very difficult to answer that question. What is important is Saturday.”

Szczesny’s attitude since being dropped has impressed Wenger.

“He has trained well, and is very focused,” the Gunners boss said.

“The problem is to repeat the level of concentration. Wojciech has a good potential of focus, but take any goalkeeper in any club, you don’t have many who play every absolutely all the games in Europe. They need their moments of (a) breather where they can recharge and focus again.”

Wenger, though, warned against anyone expecting the jersey was theirs to keep.

“At the moment it can change again on the performances of Ospina and the performances of Wojciech,” he said.

“We are in a competitive world and you have to accept that nothing is definite, every day it can change.”

The Arsenal boss added: “As I told you many times it is our job to fight for your places, no matter how difficult it is.

"I accept that it is difficult. But when you choose this kind of job, you know it is down to competition.”

The Gunners head into this weekend’s Wembley showdown firm favourites as they aim to defend their FA Cup crown but Wenger insists there will no air of complacency against the Sky Bet Championship side.

“It is exactly the same (pressure as in 2014), maybe the environment is less (pressure), but yourself you have exactly the same. You want to go to the final and get there. You have to absolutely spot on with everything,” he said.

Arsenal’s Wellington Silva has taken another step towards finally playing for the Gunners next season as he has received a Spanish passport.

The Brazilian is currently on loan at Almeria and has spent the last five years at various Spanish clubs looking to secure a work permit to finalise his move to England.

“A good thing is slow in coming, but it has arrived with the greatest satisfaction in the world. Spanish nationality!” he wrote in Spanish on his Twitter page.

At 22, he has plenty of time to improve but interest from Sevilla suggests his Arsenal career could come to an end before it has even begun.

Olivier Giroud says Arsenal are sitting pretty as Chelsea’s main title rivals because they have finally remembered how to win ugly.

The Gunners have strung together an eight-match winning run in the league to take a grip on second place and give themselves a sniff of catching Jose Mourinho’s leaders.

A week after demolishing Liverpool 4-1 with some sparkling football, Arsenal showed a different side to their game as they ground out a 1-0 win against a dogged Burnley thanks to Aaron Ramsey’s 12th-minute strike.

Giroud said: “You can’t play your best football every game.

"We tried to be focused on not conceding and it’s one more clean sheet.

"As long as we were winning the game, I don’t think we were in too much danger. We were really pleased.

"It was a tough game for us and we were a bit lucky. We did well to score early in the game because it was pretty hard for us.

"Burnley play with a lot of determination and it was a big fight. It was a big win for us.”

Frenchman Giroud had scored 10 goals in 10 matches but hardly made an impact against the Clarets.

He managed just one shot on goal before being replaced by Danny Welbeck late on.

But he doesn’t mind as long as the team are winning.

The Turf Moor victory meant it was the first time the Gunners have won eight in a row since the vintage ‘Invincibles’ team of 2003-04.

One more - ironically against Chelsea a week on Sunday - will set a new club record.

Giroud said: “It’s really good for us and I’m really proud to take part in this performance but we don’t want to stop here.

"We want to carry on and keep this good run going until the end.”

Even Arsenal’s winner was hardly a thing of beauty. A sloppy pass from the back by Burnley captain Jason Shackell gave the ball away and the Gunners pounced.

ARSENE WENGER has poured cold water on Arsenal’s hopes of winning the Premier League this season.

The Gunners are seven points adrift of table-toppers Chelsea and the Blues have a game in hand as well as a superior goal difference.

Arsenal are in sensational form and could claim their eight win on the bounce with victory over Burnley on Saturday.

However, Wenger thinks the race is over and the Gunners have too much pace to make up on Jose Mourinho’s Chelsea.

Wenger said: “I have enough experience to know that I have to live with reality and reality is points and the next game.

"The dreams are for everybody - we all have dreams at night, but when I wake up in the morning I have to come here and make sure we give everything to win the next game.

ARSENAL boss Arsene Wenger believes his side should’ve beaten Manchester United yesterday.

The Gunners drew 1-1 with Red Devils thanks to a late own goal from Tyler Blackett.

The draw at Old Trafford leaves Wenger’s men two points clear of the Red Devils - who took the lead in the tie through summer signing Ander Herrera.

Speaking after the match, Wenger admitted that United dominated the first-half of the contest but claimed his side were the better team in the second period.

“They started stronger than us,” he said.

“We were not totally in there but in the second-half we dominated completely.”

“Unfortunately we couldn’t score a second goal but the chances were there.”

ARSENE WENGER insists Arsenal will not begin their transfer activity until the end of the season…

Chelsea and Manchester United have already got their summer business underway, signing Nathan and Memphis Depay respectively.

The Gunners have been heavily linked with a move for Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech who looks set to leave Stamford Bridge this summer.

But Wenger claims he currently has no interest in any player

When asked if he thought Jose Mourinho would allow Cech to move to Arsenal, Wenger replied: “That is a very tricky question because we are not interested in anybody at the moment.

“We will start our business at the end of the season.

“We have nobody [near or pending a move].”

Jack Wilshere is hopeful the Gunners will bounce back from the defeat by Swansea City with victory over arch rivals Manchester United at Old Trafford on Sunday.

Arsene Wenger’s side missed the opportunity to move level on points with Manchester City in second place in the Premier League following the 1-0 loss against Swansea at Emirates Stadium.

However, Arsenal have the perfect opportunity to put Monday’s disappointment behind them with victory over Louis van Gaal’s side in their league meeting.

And Wilshire is confident Arsenal, who beat the Red Devils’ 2-1 in the FA Cup at Old Trafford in March, can produce another winning performance.

‘We’ve been there in the FA Cup this season and won, so we know what it takes,’ he told Arsenal’s official website.

‘Our confidence will be high going there, but we’ve got to perform.

'It’s no good just going there thinking that we can beat them again because we’ve beaten them before. We’ve got to put in a performance, work hard and earn the right to win.’

Arsenal News RAY PARLOUR is confident Arsenal can challenge Chelsea, Manchester United and Manchester City for the Premier League title next season

Chelsea already have one hand on their third league title under the masterful manager Jose Mourinho, but Parlour thinks next season could be a different affair.

Parlour, who made 466 appearances for the Gunners, has highlighted the areas that need addressing to make his former side serious title contenders, and includes Chelsea’s Petr Cech on his wishlist.

When asked where Arsenal need to strengthen, he explained: “Straight down the spine of the team.

“Arsenal need to look at signing a new centre-half and definitely a central midfielder because people like Mikel Arteta may leave in the summer.

"They’ve got to look at their goalkeeping situation, whether Wojciech Szczesny is moved on and replaced with Petr Cech, who has always been mentioned.

"He would be a great signing for Arsenal if Chelsea will let him go there.

"If he [Arsene Wenger] can add a bit of quality, I think they will have a really good run next year, progress, and maybe get a bit closer to Chelsea, or whoever it is next season, to win the Premier League.”

Arsenal News ARSENE WENGER has admitted he took a gamble by starting Mathieu Debuchy against Reading - but insists his decision paid off.

The French right-back has only just returned to full training following three months on the sidelines with a shoulder injury.

Debuchy was handed a shock start in place of emerging Spaniard Hector Bellerin, who has impressed in his absence, for the FA Cup semi-final against the Royals on Wembley’s energy-sapping pitch.

But Bellerin has been suffering with an ankle injury and Wenger believes the Championship strugglers were the perfect opposition for Debuchy’s return.

“It was a bit risky,” Wenger said. “Bellerin has played recently with some ankle problems and Debuchy was back so I thought it was a good moment to do it.

“Debuchy had cramps just before the end of the game but I couldn’t change him, but he is a French international and must be capable of playing in a semi-final against Reading.

"You wait, you wait, at some stage you have to play a game. Kieran Gibbs has not played for a while but he didn’t suffer physically too much.”

The Gunners have a large squad and it was a surprise to see Gibbs start over Nacho Monreal and Danny Welbeck lead the line instead of Olivier Giroud.

And Wenger insists he shuffled his pack to keep his players motivated.

“Ideally you want everybody to be happy,” Wenger argued. “It is part of the job and the most important thing is to get results, for the fans and everybody involved with the club. The majority dominates the minority.”

Arsenal News PER MERTESACKER is a major doubt for Arsenal’s game against Chelsea on Sunday.

The German limped out of Arsenal’s FA Cup semi final win over Reading last weekend and may not recover in time to face Jose Mourinho’s champions elect.

Boss Arsene Wenger will hope the World Cup winner will be available for selection as he goes in search of a win that would both keep the title race alive for a little longer and sure-up their top-four hopes.

The injury to Arsenal’s No.4 means that January buy Gabriel Paulista may be handed a start.

The good news for the Gunners is that Chelsea may be blunted by a lack of attacking options.

Diego Costa is a doubt to feature while Loic Remy and Didier Drogba also have question marks over their fitness.

Arsenal News: WOJCIECH SZCZESNY admits he has a lot of sympathy for Reading goalkeeper Adam Federici.

The Royals stopper made an almighty blunder in their FA Cup semi-final with Arsenal yesterday, letting Alexis Sanchez’s effort squirm between his legs.

The mistake proved the difference maker as Arsenal booked their place in the final.

But, Szczesny says the Australian keeper deserves ‘a lot of credit’ for his performance before that fatal error.

The Gunners goalkeeper told Arsenal’s official website: “I’d like to think that he should make the headlines for the saves he made, rather than the one mistake he made.

“I thought he was terrific throughout the night and he was the reason the game was so tight, because he made four or five absolutely amazing saves.

"He was solid throughout the 120 minutes. It’s one of those things, I’ve been there and done that in the last minute at Wembley and I know how it feels.

"It must be difficult for him but I’m sure he knows himself that he had a terrific game and he deserves a lot of credit for that.”

Szczesny also hailed Arsenal’s energy during extra-time and believes it was vital to their victory.

Arsenal News.JACK WILSHERE reckons Arsenal’s intense training sessions are helping rebuild his fitness ahead of a first-team return.

The Gunners midfielder has been out since November with an ankle injury but is nearing a comeback to Arsene Wenger’s starting line-up.

Wilshere has featured for the Gunners’ Under-21 side, and has been taking part in full training with his Arsenal team-mates.

And the England international claims the quality of Arsenal’s training is better than practice run-outs with the club’s youth side.

“Training here with the quality and intensity, that is what I need coming back from injury,” he said.

“You can play as much as you want in the under-21s, but you cannot get that intensity of the Premier League.

“In training here, the little eight aside and keep balls is top level, and that is what I need.

"Everyone looks forward to the training sessions, it is short and sharp, everyone is fighting for a position (in the team) and you can really tell that.”

Wilshere also revealed why he thinks Arsenal have soared up the Premier League table this season.

“We have added real quality, world-class players to the squad and the main thing here is the team ethic,” he added.

“You can see that we have a great atmosphere around, everyone wants to work for one another and we go into

Arsenal News: PER MERTESACKER has played down Arsenal’s chances of claiming an unlikely Premier League crown this season.

The Gunners sit seven points behind leaders Chelsea but Jose Mourinho’s men boast a game in hand over their London rivals.

With Arsenal in FA Cup action this weekend, Chelsea could take a huge step toward the title with a win over Manchester United in the Premier League tomorrow afternoon, but a win for the Red Devils could blow the race wide open.

Arsenal still have to play Chelsea but Mertesacker isn’t holding out too much hope they can pull off the mother of all comebacks this year.

Asked about what a United win would do for Arsenal’s season, Mertesacker said: “That would mean that we would have to win our games anyway.”

“What made us really strong in our current run was focusing on ourselves.

"Not focussing too much on Chelsea, not on Manchester City, not United. Just us.

"We’ll see how far that takes us at the end of the season.

"We depend on Chelsea. It’s not in our hands so it’s really hard to predict for us.

"We need to deliver good performances and results and we didn’t manage that [earlier in the season].

"We’ve lost already six games and they’ve lost two.

"It’s really hard now to say, even if they lose to Manchester United, that we have a chance.”

Arsenal News: ARSENE WENGER wants to reward Arsenal’s fans by retaining the FA Cup.

Everyone knows the understandable importance the Gunners boss places on reaching the Champions League.

So the Premier League will always be the priority for Wenger, who regards a top-four finish and therefore securing European Cup involvement as winning an additional trophy.

But the Frenchman also appreciates what the FA Cup means to Arsenal’s fans, who saw their side lift the trophy against Hull last season after being 2-0 down.

Arsenal fought back to win 3-2 – their first silverware for nine years.

And Wenger knows the Gooners have got the FA Cup bug again, as he’s still marvelling at their support at Old Trafford in the sixth round last month.

Arsenal beat Manchester United 2-1 and Wenger said: “It was a special occasion for us.

“Old Trafford is a legendary place. There is a lot of history there for us, both positive and negative.

“When you travel back and you have won such an important game, I think it’s a wonderful feeling for us and our supporters.

“I personally think it’s just amazing that on a Monday night we had 9,000 fans there.

“That shows you the importance our fans give to the FA Cup and it also gives you an indication as to the size of this club – that is absolutely massive.”

Wenger is now eyeing victory against Championship-club Reading in Saturday’s semi-final at Wembley to book a return to the national stadium next month for another FA Cup Final.

Arsenal News .Wilshere, Walcott and Szczesny risk being left behind in Wenger’s quiet revolution

There is something different about Arsenal this term.

Granted,
you have to squint to see it through the lingering,
what-might-have-been gloom of their early-season malaise and achingly
predictable springtime Champions League exit. But it’s definitely there,
glinting away.

It was most obvious during the battling victory
over Manchester City in January, when Arsene Wenger finally deigned to
sacrifice attacking fluency in favour of grit, grime and glory. The
deployment of Francis Coquelin, who had amassed just nine Premier League
starts before December, spoke of a new-found adaptability at the
Emirates – a willingness to counteract opponents’ strengths rather than
simply cross fingers and hope for mistakes and miracles.

You can
also find evidence of change in the high-pressing, hard-running
performances of Danny Welbeck and Alexis Sanchez, who have provided a
much-needed athletic counterpoint to the more measured – and more
Arsenal – stylings of Mesut Ozil and Santi Cazorla.

Before, Arsenal desperately needed a back-up strategy (the most
recent attempt went by the codename of The Sanogo Protocol) for when the
polite stuff wasn’t working. Now, they not only have a Plan B but seem
to use it concurrently with Plan A: there is patient passing AND
counter-attacking; scheming AND sprinting.

But Wenger’s quiet
revolution has not been without its victims and three footsoldiers of
the old regime are at risk of finding themselves left behind.

It
wasn’t so long ago that Wojciech Szczesny, Jack Wilshere and Theo
Walcott were seen as the future spine of the Arsenal side. All are
young, hugely talented and have been, for much of their Arsenal careers,
among the first names on the teamsheet. But all have had seasons to
forget.

Szczesny struggles because he is both an excellent goalkeeper and not nearly as good as he thinks he is.

In
the early part of the season he seemed to have grown out of the rash
decision-making that was the calling card of his youth, but errors –
like the one that gifted Sadio Mane a goal in the defeat to Southampton
on January 1 – began to creep back in during the winter.

The
downturn in form coincided with Szczesny hitting the back pages for
smoking – a revelation that was blown out of all proportion but one that
Wenger could undoubtedly have done without.

David Ospina probably
wasn’t expecting to keep the gloves for the rest of the campaign when
he was drafted in, but has performed solidly in the months since. At 26,
he also has the ability to grow into the role.

It is hard to
escape the feeling that Szczesny is serving a penance for his immaturity
– both on and off the field. It would hardly be the first time that
Wenger has sought to teach him a lesson, after all. The question for the
Pole is just how many chances he has left – and what Ospina’s form
means for him after the dust has settled this season.

Wilshere’s case is a little more straightforward, if no more frustrating.

The
England midfielder’s progress has again been hampered by incessant
injuries this term, meaning he has been restricted to just seven Premier
League starts.

His most recent absence dates back to a careless
challenge by Paddy McNair that would have sidelined the most hardy
player, but other setbacks have pointed to a physical fragility that
must be a concern.

Further, in Wilshere’s absence, Wenger has
reshaped the Arsenal midfield to the point where it is hard to see just
where the 23-year-old will slot in when fit. For all his tenacity, he
does not offer the same defensive cover as Coquelin in front of the back
four, while Ozil and Cazorla have dovetailed brilliantly in the middle
of the line of four behind the striker. Then there is Mikel Arteta and
Aaron Ramsey, himself playing his way back to form.

With Wilshere may well be condemned to being a back-up in the short
term, which in turn will make it even more difficult for him to build up
match fitness.

Yet the outlook is probably bleakest for Walcott, whose star has waned markedly in recent times.

After
a stop-start beginning to his Arsenal career, the former Southampton
man appeared to be on the way to fulfilling his potential with a superb
campaign in 2012/13, netting 21 goals in all competitions.

Since
then, however, the injury misery has resurfaced, bringing with it the
inconsistency of old. Disregarding a brief winter purple patch that
brought three goals in four games, Walcott has made little impact on the

Arsenal News .Wilshere, Walcott and Szczesny risk being left behind in Wenger’s quiet revolution

There is something different about Arsenal this term.

Granted, you have to squint to see it through the lingering, what-might-have-been gloom of their early-season malaise and achingly predictable springtime Champions League exit. But it’s definitely there, glinting away.

It was most obvious during the battling victory over Manchester City in January, when Arsene Wenger finally deigned to sacrifice attacking fluency in favour of grit, grime and glory. The deployment of Francis Coquelin, who had amassed just nine Premier League starts before December, spoke of a new-found adaptability at the Emirates – a willingness to counteract opponents’ strengths rather than simply cross fingers and hope for mistakes and miracles.

You can also find evidence of change in the high-pressing, hard-running performances of Danny Welbeck and Alexis Sanchez, who have provided a much-needed athletic counterpoint to the more measured – and more Arsenal – stylings of Mesut Ozil and Santi Cazorla.

Before, Arsenal desperately needed a back-up strategy (the most recent attempt went by the codename of The Sanogo Protocol) for when the polite stuff wasn’t working. Now, they not only have a Plan B but seem to use it concurrently with Plan A: there is patient passing AND counter-attacking; scheming AND sprinting.

But Wenger’s quiet revolution has not been without its victims and three footsoldiers of the old regime are at risk of finding themselves left behind.

It wasn’t so long ago that Wojciech Szczesny, Jack Wilshere and Theo Walcott were seen as the future spine of the Arsenal side. All are young, hugely talented and have been, for much of their Arsenal careers, among the first names on the teamsheet. But all have had seasons to forget.

Szczesny struggles because he is both an excellent goalkeeper and not nearly as good as he thinks he is.

In the early part of the season he seemed to have grown out of the rash decision-making that was the calling card of his youth, but errors – like the one that gifted Sadio Mane a goal in the defeat to Southampton on January 1 – began to creep back in during the winter.

The downturn in form coincided with Szczesny hitting the back pages for smoking – a revelation that was blown out of all proportion but one that Wenger could undoubtedly have done without.

David Ospina probably wasn’t expecting to keep the gloves for the rest of the campaign when he was drafted in, but has performed solidly in the months since. At 26, he also has the ability to grow into the role.

It is hard to escape the feeling that Szczesny is serving a penance for his immaturity – both on and off the field. It would hardly be the first time that Wenger has sought to teach him a lesson, after all. The question for the Pole is just how many chances he has left – and what Ospina’s form means for him after the dust has settled this season.

Wilshere’s case is a little more straightforward, if no more frustrating.

The England midfielder’s progress has again been hampered by incessant injuries this term, meaning he has been restricted to just seven Premier League starts.

His most recent absence dates back to a careless challenge by Paddy McNair that would have sidelined the most hardy player, but other setbacks have pointed to a physical fragility that must be a concern.

Further, in Wilshere’s absence, Wenger has reshaped the Arsenal midfield to the point where it is hard to see just where the 23-year-old will slot in when fit. For all his tenacity, he does not offer the same defensive cover as Coquelin in front of the back four, while Ozil and Cazorla have dovetailed brilliantly in the middle of the line of four behind the striker. Then there is Mikel Arteta and Aaron Ramsey, himself playing his way back to form.

With Wilshere may well be condemned to being a back-up in the short term, which in turn will make it even more difficult for him to build up match fitness.

Yet the outlook is probably bleakest for Walcott, whose star has waned markedly in recent times.

After a stop-start beginning to his Arsenal career, the former Southampton man appeared to be on the way to fulfilling his potential with a superb campaign in 2012/13, netting 21 goals in all competitions.

Since then, however, the injury misery has resurfaced, bringing with it the inconsistency of old. Disregarding a brief winter purple patch that brought three goals in four games, Walcott has made little impact on the first team this season, failing to complete 90 minutes once in the Premier League.

ARSENE WENGER has told his Arsenal players they must be prepared to get physical against Burnley if they are to continue their winning run.

The Gunners have the best form of any top side in Europe having won their last seven league games and travel to Turf Moor looking to keep the pressure on leaders Chelsea.

Wenger’s side currently lie seven points behind the Blues, who also have a game in hand, as they try to chase them down to secure an unlikely league title for the first time since 2004.

Burnely have an impressive record at home this season, claiming 18 points from the last 26 available.

And Wenger has warned his players they cannot underestimate Sean Dyche’s side despite them sitting 19th in the table.

Wenger said: “You have to get to get to their level of physical performance.

“And the rest, you have to produce the quality of performance that is expected from us on a technical level.

“You have first to fight with them physically, that is for sure.

“Burnley is a tough test for everybody.

“You shouldn’t look at the table because they started slowly but recently they played very well against all the big teams in the league.

“They are quite efficient at home because they made 18 points out of 26 at home.

“Therefore we have to make sure we produce the expected performance on the commitment, on the focus and on the quality of our game.”

Arsenal News: Giroud on course to challenge Premier League consecutive goal record

Olivier Giroud is on a red hot streak of form, the impressive central spike of the gunners attacking trident.

And though he has played only a portion of the number of minutes of the league’s top scorers, the 28-year-old is just a handful of goals away from claiming the league’s top scorer prize, on 14 goals - five behind Harry Kane and Diego Costa on 19.

Giroud has been playing well all season in all honesty, and there have been just 8 Premier League games that the Frenchman hasn’t scored when he has played.

But in the last two and a half months, the gunners striker has been almost untouchable.

Indeed, since he returned from his red card suspension against Stoke at the start of January, the former Montpellier forward has gone through an exceptional purple patch in front of goal.

Giroud failed to score against the Potters, but netted in the impressive 2-0 win at Manchester City in the next game and including that game, has scored 9 goals in 10 as well as adding 3 assists.

Even more impressively, he has currently scored in six consecutive games, and might now be looking at equalising Ruud van Nistelrooy’s 10 game streak for Manchester United from 2003.

It is a record few other strikers can match, with only Tottenham’s Harry Kane coming close in that same period. The England striker has scored more goals than Giroud (11), but when looking at total involvement in goals, the Arsenal attacker is level with Spurs’ main man on account of his better number of assists. He has also been unable to match the regular goalscoring of his London rival.

But while plenty of people have been going crazy about Kane’s performances, Giroud has for the most part slipped under the radar with his form, which may be exactly how he and Arsene Wenger want it to be, especially with the Gunners now in second position in the league.

Arsenal News: Jack Wilshere comes through 90 minutes unscathed as he grabs assist for Arsenal Under-21s

Arsenal’s Jack Wilshere moved a step closer to his first-team return after playing 90 minutes for Arsenal’s development side.

Wilshere came through unscathed as the Gunners thumped Stoke’s Under-21 side 4-1 at Emirates Stadium.

The 23-year-old has not made an appearance for Arsene Wenger’s side since a nasty collision with Paddy McNair in November’s narrow defeat to Manchester United.

Wilshere underwent surgery to repair the damage to his ankle ligaments and - after a lengthy spell on the sidelines - returned to grab an assist as the young Gunners side brushed the Potters aside with three goals from Alex Iwobi and one from Stephy Mavididi.

Mikel Arteta and Abou Diaby also played their first competitive matches in the win over Stoke on Tuesday night. Both Arteta and Diaby, who also set-up a goal, were withdrawn after an hour as Wilshere continued his recovery until the full-time whistle.

Arsenal News: PER MERTESACKER claims Arsenal have answered their critics this season.

The Gunners were blasted by fans and former players alike for failing to mount a title challenge earlier this season.

And the storm of criticism only got louder when they crashed out of the Champions League to Monaco.

But Arsenal are now the closest challengers to league leaders Chelsea and have an FA Cup semi final to look forward to.

Mertesacker said: “I am delighted with how the team responded to the criticism that came our way.

“We are in a good position now [but at the start] we suffered a lot of injuries to players who were amazing last season, so we had to replace them with youngsters.

"But there was always good energy because they proved they can deliver good performances for the team and that raised everyone’s level. I am delighted with the team’s performances throughout the year.”

Mertesacker claims Arsenal’s poor early-season form came as a result of the World Cup blues.

The Gunners had 11 players involved in last summer’s finals, including three who returned late after winning it with Germany.

Mertesacker, who was one of them, said: “It is a completely new experience for a lot of players to have post-World Cup difficulties.

"Those who came from the World Cup had no break and no pre-season, we started right in the season and [had to] try to find form.

"A lot of players got injured or weren’t in the best form, so it took us a while to be at our top level.

"But the belief and trust of the manager and the inner core of the club has been absolutely amazing.

"This means more to me than what happened in the first few months with the lack of form and the criticism.”

Arsenal News:Mathieu Debuchy insists he is staying positive about his future at Arsenal despite a difficult, injury-plagued first season at the club.

The Frenchman has made just 11 appearances since he moved to the gunners from Newcastle in the summer for a fee in the region of £10m.

The emergence of 20-year-old Hector Bellerin could spell trouble for Debuchy’s hopes of being the club’s first-choice right-back, particularly with Calum Chambers and perhaps even Carl Jenkinson waiting in the wings.

But Debuchy says he has learned from his time on the sidelines and believes he will come back stronger after a ‘dark season’ at the Emirates Stadium.

Arsenal News : Santi Cazorla has revealed the Gunners’ togetherness has helped them maintain a good run in this calendar year.

The north London club registered a crushing 4-1 victory over Liverpool in the league clash at the Emirates in the last fixture. So far in this calendar year, Arsene Wenger has seen his side suffer two defeats in the league, which came against Southampton and Tottenham Hotspur.

They have conceded only nine goals in the league in 2015. The Spain international claims Arsenal defend as a unit, which has helped them restrict opposition from finding the back of the net regularly when they play the Gunners.

Cazorla admitted Arsenal’s victory over Brendan Rodgers’ side has put them in a firm position to qualify for next season’s Champions League.

“It’s a very important win for us because Liverpool are with us fighting for the Champions League,“Cazorla told Arsenal’s official website.

"Liverpool have very good players with Raheem Sterling, Daniel Sturridge and Philippe Coutinho but the team played very compact and played together, which is very important for us. When we defend together, we always win.”

Manchester City suffered a 2-1 defeat at the hands of Crystal Palace on Monday. The Premier League champions’ defeat has helped Arsenal sit second in the league table with 63 points from 31 games, leading third place Manchester United by a point and City by two points.

Arsenal face Burnley at Turf Moor in the upcoming fixture. Sean Dyche’s side has defeated Manchester City at home and settled for a draw against Tottenham Hotspur. Despite their recent form, Cazorla has urged his teammates to seal their eighth consecutive win over Burnley.

“The confidence is high for everyone and we need to play the same now we have a week of rest, and then we need to prepare for the next game,” the Spain international said.

Arsenal News: Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has been named Premier League Manager of the Month for March and Olivier Giroud has made it a double for the Gunners by winning the Player of the Month award.

Arsenal were knocked out of the Champions League by Monaco in March but won all four for their Premier League matches against Everton, QPR, West Ham and Newcastle.

Giroud bounced back from being substituted just an hour into Arsenal’s Champions League first-leg defeat against
Monaco by scoring six goals in all competitions, averaging a goal every 78 minutes from 17 shots.

Wenger told Sky Sports News HQ: “You just focus on the next game and it reminds you that you have done well in the last month, but you focus on the next one.

“Winning is a mixture of quality and disappointment because we have gone out of the Champions league and that was a disappointment, but overall we are on a strong run in the Premier League and the FA Cup so it is mixed.”

Giroud, who has prevented Tottenham striker Harry Kane from becoming the first player to win the prize three months in a row, says winning the award shows his strength of character.

He said: “I am in good form and it’s nice to win this trophy and it will be nice in my living room.

"After the Champions League I was really pleased to score and bounce back and come back stronger.

"I don’t like when I miss a game and I want to show my strength and character. I needed to score straight away after the (Monaco) game to keep confidence and to help the team to reach our target in the Premier League.”

Wenger added: “Giroud is the symbol because in the first game against Monaco he got a lot of criticism and he responded to that with very strong performances - that shows quality and mental strength.”

Arsenal News: Arsene Wenger says that he can “smell” the goals in his Arsenal team, after they thumped Liverpool 4-1 at the Emirates on Saturday.

Hector Bellerin, Mesut Ozil, Alexis Sanchez and Olivier Giroud all found the net as the Gunners all but extinguished the Reds’ top four hopes, moving above second-placed Manchester City in the process.

Arsenal have scored 62 goals in 31 Premier League games so far this season, and Wenger has praised his side’s “cohesion” in attack, insisting that they can continue to outscore teams between now and the end of the season.

“You smell that we can score goals,” he told Arsenal’s official website. “If you look at the number of goals we’ve scored now (62 from 31 league games), that’s quite good with seven games to go.

“We have a good mentality and good cohesion in the team. There is something happening. That shows you that they are ready to fight for each other. You can see that - you can’t cheat on that.

“That is a good basis, and defensively we are getting better. I think you also have to give credit to players who get less, such as Coquelin. In the first half he broke up many attacks in a convincing way.”

City – now two points behind the Gunners – face Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park on Monday evening, and Wenger insists it is too early to talk of his side finishing above the Premier League champions.

“Let’s give everything to do it and see what happens,” he added. “It’s too early [to talk about finishing second] with seven games to go but we’re in a good position, with four at home and only three away.

“We’re on a good run so I would say that it will be down to how we can maintain that focus and level of urgency between now and the end of the season.

Arsenal News: Arsene Wenger has heaped praise on his young defender Hector Bellerin following the Gunners’ 4-1 win over Liverpool at the Emirates yesterday.

The Spaniard got the scoring underway for the north London side with a well-placed effort and his French boss was impressed with his display.

Wenger said: “He’s one of the surprises of the season.

“He was at Watford on loan last year and didn’t get the games. He’s just 20 years old, if you look at what he does at 20 years of age.

“He played against a great player today in Sterling in the second half.

“Maybe he still has some experience to gain but defending one against one is good and going forward is good as well.

“He scored an important goal in a big game and that always shows that the guy has the mental quality to be there.”

20-year-old Bellerin was snapped up as a 16-year-old from Barcelona’s academy in the summer of 2011.

Arsenal News: MATHIEU DEBUCHY wants to finish the season in style with Arsenal.

The France defender has suffered an injury nightmare since he joined the Gunners from Newcastle last summer in a £12m deal.

He has made just 13 appearances all season after damaging his ankle in September and then dislocating his shoulder in January.

Debuchy made his latest comeback in a 4-0 friendly win over Brentford on Tuesday.

Now he is desperate to help Arsene Wenger’s in-form Gunners in their push for second place in the Premier League.

They face Liverpool on Saturday and also have an FA Cup semi-final against Championship Reading to look forward to.

Debuchy, 29, said: “It hasn’t been easy for me to undergo two operations in the same season, but I am still positive.

“I’m no longer in pain, I went into challenges and I made tackles. I now need to regain my rhythm.

"It is going to be difficult for Arsenal to win the title, as Chelsea are doing very well, but it would be great if we can finish second.”

Germany general manager Oliver Bierhoff has said he believes striker Lukas Podolski made the wrong decision when he joined Inter Milan on loan from Arsenal in the winter transfer window.

Podolski has failed to make an impression for the Nerazzurri and is yet to score a goal since his move to the Serie A club.

Inter look increasingly unlikely to exercise their option to permanently sign the 29-year-old, whose performances have been criticised, and Bierhoff believes he must consider his next move carefully.

“Lukas needs to feel the faith of those around him,” he told Bild am Sonntag.

“He’s an emotional guy. When I heard that he was going to Milan for six months, I felt bad for him — I got a stomach ache.

"I know it’s not easy to change club in January and football’s not the same in every country.

"I would advise him to go to a club where he enjoys the faith of everybody and where he has the chance to play with continuity.

"Going to a top club could mean that he finds teammates fighting with him for a starting berth. Lukas needs to feel he’s part of the family. He needs to be in a relaxed environment to do well.”

He said Podolski should try to find a club “where he has the feeling he’ll be looked after well and play constantly.”

Arsenal News: BARCELONA are keeping tabs on emerging Arsenal starlet Hector Bellerin.

The Gunners right-back Bellerin, 20, started his career in his home city of Barcelona before moving to Arsenal in 2011.

He has impressed this season standing in for injured Mathieu Debuchy and recently penned a new four-year deal. But Barca’s interest may have to be long-term given that FIFA have slapped a ban on them signing new players in 2015 after breaching rules on attracting foreign youngsters.

Yet the Nou Camp hierarchy will appeal for a second time against the ruling this summer.

Barca’s interest is urgent because right-back Dani Alves, 31, looks set to leave on a free transfer with Manchester United said to be keen on his services.

Bellerin, 20, was born in Barcelona and was with the Catalan giants for eight years until he was 16 before he was snapped up by Arsene Wenger.

And with Bellerin likely to lose his place to France defender Debuchy when he is fit again he could become frustrated at the lack of first-team football.

Arsenal News:Alexis Sanchez: I love this league. Living where football was invented makes me really happy

Gunners’ £35m Chilean star is feeling at home in London as he prepares to seek revenge on Brazil for his World Cup penalties heartache there on Sunday

Tottenham fans love a rendition of, ‘Harry Kane, he’s one of our own’, and now Arsenal fans can claim the same about… Chilean Alexis Sanchez, writes Tom Hopkinson in the Sunday People.

The Gunners’ new star has been superb since arriving from Barcelona in a £35million deal last summer, and is loving life in London - and in the Premier League.

He said: “I’m well adapted to the country and the league now. I must keep on learning, though.

“I want to expand my knowledge of English football in general, and Arsenal and my team-mates in particular.

“But overall I love this league. At the end of the day, football was invented in this country, right?

“I live where football was invented. That makes me really happy.”

On Sunday, Sanchez and his Chile team-mates take on South American rivals Brazil in a friendly at Arsenal’s Emirates stadium with last summer’s World Cup last-16 defeat at the hands of the Samba stars still a painful memory.

Sanchez took advantage of some woeful defending to cancel out David Luiz’s opener that day, but Brazil went on to win 3-2 on penalties.

Interviewed for Sunday’s matchday programme, Sanchez, 26, added: “I will always feel gutted about that loss. I remember that game well and I still don’t forget that we hit a post in the last minute.”

Arsenal News:WOJCIECH SZCZESNY must leave Arsenal in order to save his career, according to Liverpool legend Jerzy Dudek.

Szczesny has been replaced as the Gunners’ No.1 after being caught smoking in the showers following a poor performance in a 2-0 defeat at Southampton on New Year’s Day.

Summer signing David Ospina has stepped into the role, with Szczesny making just three appearances in 2015 - all in the FA Cup.

And Dudek reckons the Poland goalkeeper needs to force through an Emirates Stadium exit in order to salvage his international career.

“If I were in his place, I would wonder whether there are still opportunities to arise at Arsenal and wouldn’t wait as long as Fabianski, because you can see that Arsene Wenger is firmly set on David Ospina,” the former Liverpool ace told Poland’s TVP Sport.

“It’s a serious matter. Fortunately, we have two other goalkeepers who are able to provide an adequate level in our goal.

"In excellent form is Lukasz Fabianski and, on the other hand, Artur Boruc is very experienced. I think [Adam] Nawalka [Poland manager] will wait to make the decision until the very end.

"Wojciech is the least likely to play in the match with Ireland.”

Arsenal News: Danny Welbeck has insisted that he scored England’s second goal in their 4-0 victory over Lithuania at Wembley.

The Gunners forward’s header from Jordan Henderson’s corner found its way into the back of the net with the aid of a deflection off Tadas Kijanskas as Wayne Rooney lurked on the goalline.

However, Welbeck is adamant that the strike was his as he became the leading scorer in the Euro 2016 qualifiers with his sixth goal of the campaign.

“I told [Wayne] it was my goal and he was like ‘alright lad’,” Welbeck told the FA’s official website.

“I’m obviously happy with that but most importantly we’re getting these victories and we’re playing well, so that’s the main thing and we just want to keep this run going.

"It was obviously a good team performance, we got the goals, we didn’t let them into the game and we pressed them high up the pitch as a team. It was a good performance and it was good to get the victory tonight.”

Welbeck along with Raheem Sterling are likely to miss England’s friendly clash with Italy on Tuesday.

Arsenal News:Arsene Wenger has continued his spat with Leonardo Jardim after the Monaco boss claimed he refused to shake hands after their Champions League last-16 clash.

Jardim accused Wenger of disrespecting him and his side after the first leg of the tie, which the French side won 3-1 at the Emirates Stadium.

But the gunners boss has hit back, saying he did wait to shake hands after the game and dismissing Jardim’s claims as ‘lies’.

““The images show that I waited for the Monaco coach to congratulate him after the match,” he told l’Equipe.

“He celebrated the win with his staff, which I fully understood. I then congratulated him after the press conference.

“So I am surprised and disappointed to hear such lies. That said, I wish all the best and good luck to Monaco for what is to come.”

It is not the first time Wenger has been questioned over post-match handshakes in the Premier League.

He did not shake hands with Pep Guardiola immediately after Bayern Munich knocked Arsenal out of the Champions League, nor did he with Guardiola’s predecessor, Jupp Heynckes, in 2013.

Both Guardiola and Heynckes played those incidents down, however, as the Spaniard said it was “no problem” and the German spoke of his “good relationship” with Wenger.

Arsenal News:Mesut Ozil is unlikely to face any disciplinary action by Arsenal after being spotted in a nightclub hours after missing the 2-1 win over Newcastle because of illness.

According to Sky sources, Arsene Wenger is set to speak to Ozil on his return from the international break next week but the 26-year-old is still likely to start against Liverpool on April 4.

Ozil was seen in a Berlin nightclub just hours after missing the gunners 2-1 win against Newcastle United on Saturday.

Arsenal had given Ozil permission to travel back to Germany on Saturday ahead of the international friendly match against Australia.

Germany coach Joachim Loew was unware of Ozil’s night out until Tuesday morning but according to Sky Deutschland correspondent Uli Koehler, his behaviour is unlikely to have any impact on his place in the Germany team.

“Joachim Loew was also surprised because he didn’t know the incident long before – only five or 10 minutes before the press conference he was informed,” Koehler said.

“He (Loew) said Mesut told him that he didn’t feel well, and everything was arranged with Arsene Wenger, the manager of Arsenal, so that he takes off, he gets a rest because he doesn’t feel so well.

“Then he said, after the game, they had the day off, or the time off, so it was free for everybody to go wherever they wanted to go.

“Whatever is the real truth, it was neither clever nor really smart from Mesut.

“Now we wait and see what he is doing because he is not performing so well in the national team either, so I wonder what will be the comments after the next game against Australia on Wednesday.”

Loew will also have to make do without his first-choice goalkeeper after Manuel Neuer was ruled out with a knee injury but added the Golden Glove holder was likely to return for the second friendly against Georgia.

Loew also said he had not decided whether captain Bastian Schweinsteiger, back for the first time since the 2014 World Cup final, would feature against Australia.

“I will talk today with Bastian. Whether he will play from the start or a half or even sit it out, I have not yet decided,” Loew said.

"I want to see training tonight and have some discussions.”

Arsenal News:Chuba Akpom poised to join Norwich City on loan for the rest of the season

Norwich City lead the chase to sign the gunners striker Chuba Akpom on loan for the rest of the season.

The 19-year-old has played seven times for the Gunners so far this season, but hasn’t featured since the FA Cup win against Middlesbrough last month.

Akpom recently committed his long-term future to the Emirates and boss Arsene Wenger is willing to leave him go out on loan to get some more first-team football under his belt.

Derby, Bournemouth, Ipswich and Forest are all keen but the Canaries are fancied to land the highly-rated hotshot.

Akpom came through the ranks at the Premier League club and has also spent time out on loan in League One with Brentford and Coventry City last season.

Arsenal News: Olivier Giroud: I’ve not been in better form since joining Arsenal

Giroud, 28, struck twice in the 2-1 Premier League win over Newcastle on Saturday, meaning he has now scored nine goals in his last nine games for the Gunners.

The France international has 13 league goals from 19 appearances in total this season, and he insists he has not been in better form since his move to the club from Montpellier in 2012.

“It’s my best spell since I’ve been at the gunners. I have to keep it going, I don’t want to stop,” Giroud said. “I scored 16 or 17 goals last season in the league. I would like to do better, and above all help the team achieve our objectives. That’s the most important thing.

"Finishing second or third would be very good, even if we’ll be ready if Chelsea slip up. Winning the FA Cup is also an objective. I am continuing my progress. I feel really good at Arsenal. It’s important to keep improving.”

Giroud, currently with the France squad for the upcoming friendlies against Brazil and Denmark, has scored every 97 minutes this season in the Premier League.

“I saw that statistic, it’s an interesting one,” he said. “That means that there has been an improvement since I arrived at Arsenal. The coach keeps telling me. I have improved in a lot of areas of the game. I want to continue, I can still do better. I still have plenty of good years ahead of me.”

Giroud’s prolific form in front of goal of late has provided the perfect response to the striker’s critics.

His wasteful display in the gunner’s 3-1 defeat in the first leg of their Champions League round-of-16 tie against Monaco got plenty of attention, coming as it did shortly after he said the club did not need to sign a big-name goal scorer.

“Of course, it came at a bad time, because I wasn’t clinical in that game,” Giroud said, referring to his spurning of a host of clear-cut opportunities in a match which helped cost Arsenal a quarterfinal place.

“I got a bit of stick for that. But it’s good to have shown the mental strength to come back even stronger and prove that the criticism no longer affects me. I have created a shell for myself, whether there are good or bad times. I know when I am good or not. I don’t need people to tell me that.”
