Aaron Ramsey insists he has no plans to swap Arsenal for Barcelona following reports the Spanish champions are keen.

Ramsey, who is under contract until 2018, has been tentatively linked with a switch to Camp Nou but the playmaker has stressed he isn't looking to leave the Gunners.

The 24-year-old admits he it is "very nice to hear" reports of Barca's interest but he isn't planning on swapping north London for Catalonia any time soon and hopes to help the gunners secure silverware in the coming years.

He told Sky Sports: "Obviously it is very nice to hear that I have been linked with one of the best teams in the world but I am under contract with Arsenal and feel that this team is definitely going places.

We have a fantastic few years ahead and hopefully we can go on and win a few things with Arsenal." Ramsey has his sights set on the Premier League title next season and he believes the arrival of goalkeeper Petr Cech from current champions Chelsea will boost Arsenal's chances of picking up the league crown for the first time since 2004.

Ramsey said: "He has a lot of experience in the big games which will help us, he's a top-class goalkeeper and still has a lot of qualities and can offer a lot to this team. I can only see good things coming from him and him having an effect on this team.

"We have a great squad at the moment as long as we keep everyone fit, our form in the second half of last season was good but it's what you need throughout the whole season to compete.

"Hopefully we can do that and get off to a good start this season and put ourselves in a great position early on and we know we have the players and the quality to hurt other teams and get points.

"There is no question about our ability but it's about whether we can keep everyone fit and I am fairly confident we can. Chelsea were top mainly all the way through, they hardly slipped up and that is what we have to try and do."...
