Aaron Ramsey has explained how he feels the Gunners squad has changed for the better.

The dynamic Welshman feels that Arsenal are heading in the right direction, as they aim for success in the Premier League next season, as well as progression in the Champions League beyond the last 16 round.

Ramsey has suggested that Arsene Wenger is now in a position where he doesn’t have to repeat a theme, which has been evident in Arsenal’s transfer business in the last couple of seasons.

“It’s nice to have that sort of quality coming into the squad. I think the club is in a position now where we can buy these sorts of players, and also keep our players as well,”

“I am sure, like any season, there will be a couple more additions this summer. So, that, I think, is definitely going to help us in the long-term in trying to win the Premier League.”

In previous seasons, there have been plenty of examples where players have sought moves away from Arsenal in order to progress their careers, to earn more money or to win silverware.

Robin Van Persie, Bacary Sagna and Samir Nasri are three good examples, but it’s very important the club doesn’t repeat instances where key players leave and end up making their direct rivals stronger in the process.

Arsenal aren’t under any pressure to sell their key first team players and Wenger can add in key areas to make the side stronger.

The Gunners definitely had momentum over the second half of last season and if the club can complete a deal for Petr Cech as well as potentially improving in other areas, they will be a very good bet for the title....
